Project Description
Digital Media Lab (BTC 1053)
Designed to bridge the gap between high-performance digital production and collaborative studio work, this state-of-the-art Digital Media Lab pairs a hybrid furniture layout with a powerful, Crestron-controlled AV architecture. The space features fixed iMac workstations for running intensive software, complemented by four central mobile tables that serve as an agile core for hands-on creative projects like stop-motion animation. Instructors seamlessly manage five distinct input sources via a central console, routing content to a 98” interactive display and two 75” displays, which can be configured as independent breakout zones. This synergy between flexible furniture and multi-screen content sharing has transformed the studio environment, making student critiques faster, more dynamic, and highly collaborative.
