This is the Sol Messinger, MD ’57, Active Learning Center located on the first floor of the new downtown building for the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at The University at Buffalo. A key educational attribute of the building is its emphasis on active learning classrooms. Twenty-four groups of 6-9 students can be accommodated in this space, which features the 84” triangle-shaped Active Learning Cluster with a special flush-mounted Power Core design. Each table is equipped with multiple Axil Z Power & Data Interfaces so that each student can connect and share data to the entire group with the touch of a button. A unique feature of the room includes student microphones, mounted on each table, that are integrated to PTZ cameras that captures the student and faculty speaking with 4K-multi display projection.
