Project Description
Drew University’s advanced Bloomberg trading room provides undergraduate and graduate students with a collaborative, technology-rich environment for studying finance, investments, and data analysis. The space includes 24 dual-monitor workstations arranged in four six-person pods, encouraging students to work together on market research, stock presentations, trading strategies, and classroom assignments.
The workstations feature Computer Comforts Split Level Tables, which provide a recessed platform for the dual-monitor setups. Lowering the monitors helps preserve clear sightlines throughout the room while keeping each workspace organized and comfortable for instruction, independent study, and group collaboration.
Each workstation supports Bloomberg’s professional financial software as well as RStudio for statistical analysis, data visualization, and algorithm development. Large wireless displays throughout the room allow students to share their work, while instructor displays, integrated audio, microphones, speakers, and video-conferencing technology support presentations and participation by remote students. A 24-foot stock ticker displaying major market indexes completes the immersive trading-floor experience.
