Lamar State College – Port Arthur

This is a new Computer Drafting Lab at Lamar State College Port Arthur, located in the brand new “Sheila McCarthy Umphrey Industrial Technology Center” building in Port Arthur, TX. These 42”W x 30”D drafting tables allow the College to train on standard CAD, as well as traditional paper drafting methods on the tilting table surface. Sheila Guillot, Chair of the Business & Technology Department at the College, stated “We LOVE these tables!”. Extra-large, widescreen Dell monitors were deployed to display more intricate details on CAD drawings. Special CPU Holders were ordered to fasten the Dell PCs on an elevated platform attached to the table leg – for easy student accessibility. A (fixed) table surface was also added to each table for more functional student use and storage.
